JobAdder MCP

JobAdder, inside Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot.

Prepare for meetings, find the right candidates, log activities and add people to jobs by asking in plain English. Every consultant signs in as themselves, and nothing changes in JobAdder until they say so.

  • Connect in under 5 minutes
  • Plain English, no commands
  • $30 per user connection per month

Add custom connector

In your AI tool’s connector settings

Name

JobAdder

Server URL

https://mcp.recruitapi.com/jobadder

Then sign in with JobAdder as yourself.

Connected. Ask away.

What it can do

Read the record. Write it back, with a yes.

Find the right people

Search candidates, jobs, applications and placements, and see the history behind each one.

Know your clients

Get a client’s contacts, recent activity and notes before you pick up the phone.

Log calls and meetings

Activities land on your own JobAdder activity types, so your KPI reports stay accurate.

Add candidates to jobs

Put a candidate on a job without leaving the chat. Your JobAdder permissions still apply.

Everyone signs in as themselves

Each consultant uses their own JobAdder login, so every change is recorded against the right person.

Nothing changes without a yes

Reading is instant. Before anything changes in JobAdder, you see exactly what will happen and approve it.

In practice

Ask it like you’d ask a colleague.

No commands, filters or search syntax. Ask in natural language, and update JobAdder the same way. A few of the things consultants ask in a normal day.

  • “Prep me for my 10am with the GM at Northside Health.”
  • “Who have we placed in finance roles this quarter?”
  • “Log today’s client meeting with Sam as a BD activity.”
  • “Add Priya Shah to the Payroll Officer job. She’s free in two weeks.”
  • “Summarise the Fleet Coordinator shortlist for the client.”
  • “Which of my candidates haven’t I spoken to in 30 days?”

Works with

The AI tool your team already uses.

How it works

Connected in under 5 minutes.

Four steps, no installs. Each consultant connects once, with their own login.

  1. 1

    Create your account

Register for RecruitAPI and choose who on your team gets access.

  2. 2

    Sign in with JobAdder

Each consultant connects their own JobAdder login. No shared passwords.

  3. 3

    Add it to your assistant

Paste the connector address into Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.

  4. 4

    Just ask

In plain English. Search, prepare, summarise and log, all from the conversation.

Step-by-step instructions for each AI tool are on our support page.

Your data stays in your hands.

Candidate and client records are personal. Your consultants decide what the assistant sees and changes.

  • Each consultant signs in with their own JobAdder login, and sees only what JobAdder lets them see.
  • Changes to JobAdder wait for the consultant’s approval, and are recorded against them.
  • You choose which write actions are switched on for your agency.
  • Works through the JobAdder API. No screen scraping, no browser extensions.
  • Disconnect a consultant, or the whole agency, at any time.

Questions

Good questions.

Can’t see yours? Send us a message and we’ll get back to you.

What is an MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants work with other systems. The JobAdder MCP is a hosted MCP server: add it to your AI tool and your assistant can work with JobAdder, within your own permissions.

How long does it take to connect?

Usually under 5 minutes. Add the connector address to your AI tool, sign in with your JobAdder login, approve access, and you can start asking straight away. There’s nothing to install and no IT project.

Can the AI change JobAdder without asking?

No. Reading is instant, but before anything changes in JobAdder, such as logging an activity or adding a candidate to a job, it shows you exactly what it will do and waits for your approval.

Can it see everything in our JobAdder?

It sees what you can see. Each consultant signs in with their own JobAdder login, so the assistant has exactly their access, and every change is recorded against them.

How do I connect JobAdder to Claude?

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it JobAdder, paste https://mcp.recruitapi.com/jobadder as the server URL, then click Connect and sign in with JobAdder. Turn the connector on in a chat and ask your first question.

How do I connect JobAdder to ChatGPT?

In a ChatGPT Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin adds a custom connector (in Settings, under Connectors) with https://mcp.recruitapi.com/jobadder as the server URL. Each consultant then connects it and signs in with their own JobAdder login.

How do I connect JobAdder to Microsoft Copilot?

Through Copilot Studio: add an MCP tool to your agent, point it at https://mcp.recruitapi.com/jobadder, and publish the agent to your team. Each consultant signs in with JobAdder the first time they use it. We can walk your Microsoft admin through it.

Do we need to install anything?

No. We host the connection. Add it as a connector in your AI tool, sign in with JobAdder, and start asking. Nothing goes on your computer, your network or your JobAdder account.

Do I need to be technical to use it?

No. You ask in plain English, the same way you’d ask a colleague: “Who did I speak to at Northside last week?” or “Log a client meeting with Sam.” There are no commands, codes or search syntax to learn.

How do I update records in JobAdder?

Just say what you want in natural language, such as “Add Priya to the Payroll Officer job” or “Log today’s call with Sam as a BD activity.” The assistant drafts the change, shows you exactly what it will do, and makes it in JobAdder when you approve.

What can I ask it?

Anything you’d normally look up in JobAdder: candidates, contacts, companies, jobs, applications, placements, notes and activity history. Ask it to prepare you for a meeting, summarise a shortlist, find candidates you haven’t called in a while, or report on placements this quarter.

What can it change in JobAdder?

Today it can log activities (calls, meetings, notes) and add candidates to jobs. You choose which of these are switched on for your agency, and each one waits for the consultant’s approval.

Which AI tools does it work with?

Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, plus other tools that support MCP connectors, such as Cursor. Custom connectors may need a business or team plan in some tools; we’ll check yours in the demo.

Does it use our activity templates?

Yes. Activities are logged on your own JobAdder activity types, so client meetings land where your KPI reports expect them.

Do we need a JobAdder admin to set it up?

Not for each consultant: anyone with a JobAdder login can connect themselves. An admin on your RecruitAPI account chooses who has access and which write actions are on, which takes a few minutes once.

Does it share our JobAdder login?

No. There are no shared passwords or API keys. Each consultant signs in through JobAdder’s own sign-in page, and we never see their password.

Is our data used to train AI models?

Not by us. We pass data between JobAdder and your AI tool when you ask for it, and don’t keep copies of your candidate or client records. Whether your AI provider trains on conversations depends on your plan with them; business and enterprise plans generally don’t.

How do I keep it up to date?

You don’t need to. We host and update the connector, so new features and JobAdder changes reach every consultant automatically. There’s nothing to upgrade or reinstall.

What if a consultant leaves?

Remove them in your RecruitAPI account and their connection stops working straight away. Deactivating them in JobAdder has the same effect, since the connector works through their JobAdder login.

Can I disconnect it?

Yes, at any time. A consultant can remove the connector from their AI tool, and an admin can disconnect one consultant or the whole agency from the RecruitAPI app.

Is the data up to date?

Yes. The assistant reads JobAdder live each time you ask, so it sees the same records you would if you opened JobAdder at that moment. Nothing is copied or synced overnight.

Is this an official JobAdder product?

No. RecruitAPI is an independent provider. The connector works through the JobAdder API using each consultant’s authorised access.

How much does it cost?

$30 per user connection per month, with Starter, Team and Enterprise packages depending on the size of your team (see our pricing page). No setup fee, no lock-in contract: add or remove users as your team changes. You’ll also need a plan with your AI tool that supports custom connectors.

Can we try it first?

Yes. Book a demo and we’ll show it working on the kind of work your desks do every day, then help you connect your first consultants.

What if something isn’t working?

Most connection problems are fixed by disconnecting and signing in with JobAdder again. If that doesn’t help, our support page has step-by-step fixes, or email support@recruitapi.com and we’ll reply within one business day.
